I know this is not rare,
Nor is it for the first time,That a mortal stands before you,
Oh Mighty Gate of Life!
You have opened your arms to welcome me,
As if to invite me to an auction!
And introduced me to your clients- the Gateways,
Who, in my world, are renowned as 'Career Options'.
One after another, they greet me,
Presenting their brochures of pros and cons,
And once they are done, they offer me a key,
That is supposed to open the lock of a new dawn.
Oh! What a sight it is!
To see them lure me no end,
To make me sign their lifelong bonds,
They plead with me, so that I might bend.
So tell me, Oh Timeless Gate of Life!
What would you do, had you been in my situation?
